FREE Shuttle Service – The Ripon Races Express

Due to popular demand, the service was trailed throughout our 2017 season in order to help make our Racecourse and racedays more accessible and will continue into 2018 after postive feedback from racegoers.

Our new FREE shuttle bus service in partnership with Sherwoods of Ripon will be running for 90 minutes before the first race, before continuing with a return journey for 30 minutes after racing.

The bus will be collecting racegoers from the coach park opposite Ripon Bus Station before dropping racegoers on course. Multiple runs will made throughout the periods of service, with additional buses in place for feature racedays.

Arrival and Parking

Gates open two hours before the first race; times vary between meetings so ensure you have checked the website for the precise time. Unfortunately times are always subject to slight change, any alterations are updated on the website immediately.

Traffic does build up around the entrance in the lead up to the first race so it is advisable to arrive in plenty of time. There is plenty to do at the racecourse before the racing begins; meet with friends, familiarise yourself with the surroundings, browse the stalls, listen to the band on the band stand, enjoy some food and drink.

Leave the A1 where it is joined by the A61 (junction 50) which becomes the Ripon bypass. Turn left at the third roundabout and the racecourse is just a few hundred yards on the right. The first entrance on your right will be the main free car park with access to the Club or Paddock Enclosure and also the Course if you are planning on walking into the centre at a price per person, if you are wanting the Car on Course Enclosure this is the first entrance on the right after the main gates which allows you to drive into the centre of the racecourse (£18 for a car of up to 4 adults in the centre of the racecourse).
