Saturday 28th April – Saturday racingHosting our first Saturday raceday of 2018, join us for an action packed afternoon of racing here at Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse. In conjunction with the day’s racing, the meeting will follow all the live action from the Bet365 ‘Jump Season Finale’ at Sandown.
Our feature race of the day, the ‘At The Races 2m Stayers Handicap’ is renowned for top quality distance sprinters with 2015’s winner ‘ Trip to Paris’ trained by Ed Dunlop who flew the flag for English racing, finishing an impressive 6th in the Melbourne Cup after an impressive season here on English soil. Our 2017 running of the race was won by the Tim Easterby trained ‘My Reward’, who continued his fine form to be crowned 2017 leading trainer.
Friday 11th May – ‘#FREEFriday’
That’s right you read it correctly, #FREEFriday is back at Ripon on Friday 11th May. With FREE entry into the Paddock and Course enclosures.
No strings or catches, simply turn up on the night with your friends ‘n’ family and enjoy a night at the races on us!
With live music from the ‘Madhouse Brothers’ during and after racing including covers of the likes of Madness, The Specials and Bad Manners to name a few! It’s going to be a night not to be missed!

Thursday 21st June – ‘Ladies’ Day’
Whether you want to strut your stuff at the bookies, sip champagne on the summer lawns or simply resurrect that beautiful hat and shoes combo from the wedding you went to last year, Ladies Day provides a great excuse to let your hair down!
With competitions for the Best dressed Lady and Best Hat for the Ladie’s and quality action on the track featuring the ‘Old Mutual Wealth’ Ladies’ Derby, we will also be showing all the live action from Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot so you don’t miss a moment of the action.

Monday 9th July – ‘Blues Brothers Evening’
Now this is one for the adults! Back again as a regular feature on our racing calendar, our popular ‘Blues Brothers Evening’ will take place on Monday 9th July. Featuring live music from the wonderful Jailhouse Blues Brothers
It’s our final evening race meeting race meeting of the season, so why not get into the spirit and dust off your old suit to get inot the spirit – an evening not to be missed!
Saturday 22nd July – ‘Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival’
The 11th annual Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival celebrates all that’s best about racing on the Flat in the White Rose County.
The 2017 Summer Festival takes place between Saturday 21st July until Sunday 30th, showcasing a full week of Yorkshire racing and racing events including live music, family entertainment and much more.
We kick start the festivities on the Saturday 21st July with an afternoon of quality racing, featuring ‘The Ripon Bell-Ringer Handicap Stakes’. The race which is a Class 2 Handicap for three year-olds over 1m4f is one of our highly anticipated races of the season.Buy Tickets
Saturday 18th August – ‘The William Hill Great St Wilfrid’
It’s our most valuable race day of the season on Saturday 19th August with over £144,000 of prize money on offer including a total pot of £75,000 for our feature race ‘The William Hill Great St Wilfrid’. The race which has been sponsored by William Hill for 23 years, showcases some of the country’s top class sprinters and this season will see the 5th running of the consolation race, The William Hill Silver Trophy.
Last year the race was won by Mattmus, trained by 2017 leading trainer Tim Easterby and ridden by David Allan. Previous winners include -: Mattmu (2017), Nameitwhatyoulike (2016), Out Do (2015), Don’t Touch (2014), Baccarat (2013), Pepper Lane (2012 & 2011) & the much loved ‘Pipalong (1999)’ to name a few.
The day is a perfect day out for all the family and as always we welcome junior racegoers to all our race meetings with FREE admission for accompanied under 18′s.
Saturday 29th September – Theakstons BBQ n Beer Festival
Ending our 2018 season in style, we have once again teamed up with local brewers Theakstons of Masham who are providing us with a wide range Yorkshire’s finest hand pulled ales including a few season specials! We also have the wonderful team from ‘Heck Food’ providing us with a range of their tasty BBQ goodies. Find out more about our special BBQ packages here
