VAN CENTRE PARTNERSHIP ON COURSE AT RIPON RACES

A West Yorkshire automotive business has renewed its partnership with Ripon Racecourse for a further two years. As part of the agreement Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire will provide a pick-up vehicle for use by the course ground staff and race day veterinary team. James Hutchinson, managing director at Ripon Racecourse is delighted with the partnership extension.
He said: “The Volkswagen commercial vehicle business has supported us for more than five years so we were delighted to strengthen this partnership by introducing an Amarok vehicle to our fleet. “The pick-up truck is both practical, for our uneven terrain, as well as looking professional on race days. “The vehicle is quite literally a ‘workhorse’ for our grounds team. With a 280 acre venue, course maintenance is an on-going task, so we wanted a vehicle that was powerful enough to tow trailers with ample ground clearance but also stylish and comfortable for race days. The Amarok certainly met this brief.”

Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire’s director, Andrew Caygill, added:
“We are very pleased to bolster our relationship with Ripon Racecourse. “The versatile Amarok is a robust vehicle which is just as comfortable off–road as well as in a professional setting.”
