Here at Ripon we offer a variety of private boxes, suites, rooms and marquees for hire on race days, all of which are perfect for a celebration, corporate event, or just a great day at the races with friends, family or colleagues. Our experienced race day catering partner, CGC, offers bespoke menus and options to suit all tastes. Working with many of the racecourses in Yorkshire, CGC offer a wide range of delicious local produce, catering for everything from a seated meal with champagne reception, to a finger buffet or BBQ.
We have three options when it comes to box, suite or room hire, all offering something different in terms of party size and location, but all providing a unique race day experience.

Taking their name from the city’s famous 16th and 17th century ‘Rowels Spurs’, each self-contained box is a private area with an uninterrupted panoramic view of every race. There is a private cash bar, a private betting point, as well table service if desired. Each box is easily accessible by lift.
Our Rowels Boxes offer the ultimate hospitality experience, with its elevated private suites and balconies, all situated on our hospitality floor within the Club Stand.
The Rowels Boxes vary in size and can cater for parties of 16 right up to 120 guests.
We can even offer extended use of the room so you can hold corporate meetings or events before racing if required.
Rowels Box Badges are priced per person at £24 for a feature day and £21 for a standard day.
We are currently offering a generous 50% discount on Rowels Box hire for our opening meeting of the season on Thursday 19th April, Friday 11th May, Monday 16th July and Bank Holiday Monday meeting on 27th August. This is a limited availability offer and is on a first come, first served basis, so book early.
The Hornblower Room
Named after the famous ‘Ripon Watchman’, the Hornblower Room boasts a private terrace overlooking the Parade Ring and racecourse, plus its own private cash bar and betting point.
Suitable for up to 50 guests, our Hornblower Room is a perfect location in which to enjoy your day with us.
We went to the race course in September for a birthday party. We hired out the Hornblower suite which was excellent value for money. The Hornblower suite has an indoor area, and outdoor area with seating next to the track, your own personal bar and betting area, as well as tv’s and food is also available. We had a stunning day as the weather was nice to us, but we were very well looked after. The Suite can hold up to 50 people (as we had) and is ideally situated near the track, toilets, grandstand and most importantly for the girls it is next door to the Champagne room. I would recommend the track to anyone, truly lovely track and they really go that extra mile to ensure you have a great day. The track is also only around 7 miles from harrogate, which is a lovely quaint way to enjoy the nightlife too.
Named after the local ‘Claro Barracks’, Claro Hill was a local beauty spot made famous by WW1 poet Wilfrid Owen. The newly renovated suites come complete with their own private outside terrace area, and a cash bar, overlooking the Bandstand making the perfect location to spend a relaxing summer’s day or evening at the races.
Our new Claro Suites are situated in Paddock Enclosure therefore require Paddock admission. Comprising of three private rooms, they are suitable for parties of between 20 and 50 guests or alternatively all three rooms can be combined to hold 110 guests.
Claro Paddock Tickets (Racecard included) are priced per person at £17.50 for a feature day and £15.50 for a standard day.

Dine & View In The Rowels Boxes
Proving to be a popular hospitality option, and aimed at smaller groups or individuals, our Dine & View package is an inclusive hospitality package.
The Dine & View restaurant is a shared facility situated in the Rowels Boxes in the Club Stand.
The private dining tables can each accommodate 10 guests or multiples thereof. (Please note that smaller parties may be required to share.) The Dine & View package is the perfect option for treating someone special or for celebrating a special occasion.
